Egypta at the Kennedy Center
Laurel Victoria Gray was chosen by the Kennedy Center Local
Dance Commissioning Project to be one of three grant recipients;
the grant was used to develop new choreography for Egypta
and the culmination of this work was presented in two one-hour
concerts at the Kennedy Center Millennium Stage on September
14 & 15, 2003.

Egypta at the Field Museum in
Chicago
April 2003: Silk Road
Dance Company dances selections from
Egypta to help the Chicago Field Museum launch a new exhibit
of Egyptian art.
Silk Road presented a 20-minute program for press and VIPs
after dancing and posting for TV spots with local newscrews
to celebrate the opening of the exhibit, which features artifacts
from the British Museum on tour for the first time. See

Egypta's Premiere in 1996
Egypta premiered in Berlin in November 1996 to the critical
acclaim of the German press. Since then, new dances and costumes
have been created to make the production even more authentic.
